ShopPin collects the following categories of data:

• Merchant Location Data: You (the merchant) provide store location information including addresses, phone numbers, business hours, and coordinates for your store locations.
• Anonymous Analytics: We collect anonymized data from your storefront visitors about their interactions with the locator, including search queries, map interactions, and which locations they viewed. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
• Configuration Data: Your preferences for map styling, customization options, and app settings.

What Data We DO NOT Collect

ShopPin does NOT collect or store:

• Customer personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Customer browsing history beyond locator usage
• Cookies for tracking customer behavior across your store
• Payment information or financial data
• Location data of your customers (we only know where they searched for stores, not their actual location)

How We Use Your Data

We use the data you provide for the following purposes:

• To display your store locations on the interactive map
• To process search requests from your customers
• To provide analytics and reporting features
• To improve and optimize the ShopPin service
• To comply with legal obligations
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your location data and analytics are stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure with industry-standard protections:

• Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
• Access is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We maintain regular security audits and updates
• Backups are maintained for business continuity

While we strive to use commercially reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Location Data: Retained for as long as the ShopPin app is installed on your store. You may delete individual locations at any time.
• Analytics Data: Automatically purged after 90 days to minimize data retention.
• Configuration Data: Retained while the app is active on your store.
• Upon Uninstall: All data associated with your store is deleted within 48 hours of app uninstallation.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with:

• Our service providers (hosting, analytics platforms) under data processing agreements
• Law enforcement if required by law or legal process
• Professional advisors (legal, accounting, auditing) as needed
